    The Nature Preserve

    Preserved for Generations to Come

City Place has plans to preserve 20% of our total land for protected waters, woods and open space. All major roadways are lined with a forest preserve in order to provide air cleansing, shade, habitat and essential buffering. There are more than 100 native species of trees in our protected forest, including American Elm, Pecan, Redbay, American Holly, Sassafras and Bald Cypress.

An essential aspect of our promise to sustainability, our 150-acre Nature Preserve is an ecologically-rich experience with forest habitat, wetlands, and pond. Soon, the Preserve trail head links to the extraordinary, 46-mile Spring Creek Greenway, the longest, connected urban forested corridor in the nation.

Please note that catch and release fishing is allowed in the Nature Preserve with a valid Texas fishing license.  Any fish caught must be immediately released back into the lake or pond. Wade fishing is prohibited.
