Ojo De Dios Art WorkshopÂ
Aug 21 | 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
City Place Plaza | FREE
Create intricate yarn and stick weavings in this calming, creative workshop that inspires reflection, artistry, and cultural connection on August 21st from 9:30am until 11:30am!
This meditative practice, dating back to the 15th Century Huichol culture of Western Mexico, allows the maker to petition for wisdom, peace, or seek resolution to a problem. The relaxing, hypnotic repetition is deeply inspirational.
You will also learn techniques for playful configurations and larger designs. This ancient fibercraft shares design elements with adornments from other cultures, inspiring innovation and uplifting the spirit with beautiful results.
Join us for this FREE activity in the City Place Plaza! Workshop is suitable for 2nd grade and up.
Presented in partnership with Young Audiences of Houston. Learn more at yahouston.org
