City Place is home to an abundance of community events each year, from fitness to education to kick-your-sandals-off concerts. Hours and location of events are included in the calendar below with happenings taking place on or around The Plaza at 1250 Lake Plaza Drive, directly adjacent to the Houston City Place Marriott.

Please note that City Place Park and Plaza are not available for “rental space” unless it is associated with a venue booking with the Houston City Place Marriott; there are requirements that include insurance and a minimum spend.
Smaller gatherings of less than 20 people are welcome, but given that it is an actively utilized area – with programmed events taking precedence – space and recreational amenities, including seating areas, are available on a first come, first served basis. Prohibited elements include outside catering, amplified sound, confetti, fireworks or open flame of any kind, tents and other infrastructure, plus large scale props or furniture, other than low-profile folding chairs and blankets.

Our family friendly outdoor plaza area is open to the public from 7 am to 11 pm daily, and subject to change based upon special events, programs and other exciting activities.
Patrons may enjoy any of the Plaza’s amenities in a way that does not disturb others or cause property damage. All pets must be on a leash at all times and related food and waste shall be removed. All children shall be accompanied by an adult.
We provide regularly scheduled programmed events for the public to attend. If you are interested in renting event space for private groups, please fill out this form. Rental rates start at $500 and require property insurance coverage. Thank you.
