Lifestyle and service tenants join the growing retail line up at City Place, the urban core of North Houston’s Springwoods Village

Personalized Eye Services & Luxury Nail Salon Coming to City Place

HOUSTON, TX – March 1, 2019 – CityPlace, a new, best-in-class urban mixed-use district anchoring Springwoods Village, is gaining retail leasing momentum. Focus Optical, a boutique combining luxury retail and personalized eye care services, and LUX NOA Nail Spa, a purveyor of high quality salon services and treatments, have both executed leases in the burgeoning, 60-acre north Houston development that serves as the home to major employers including ExxonMobil, HP, Southwestern Energy and the American Bureau of Shipping. They join a roster that includes recently announced Island Grill, as well as soon-to-open Star Cinema Grill, a 10-screen, dine-in movie theater slated to unveil in June, plus 24 Hour Fitness, arriving in late 2019.

Represented by Tommi Linh Patterson of Xite Realty, Focus Optical will occupy a 1,984-square-foot ground floor space in CityPlace 1, a premier, five-story and 149,500-square-foot office building currently under construction facing the district’s central plaza. CityPlace, a joint venture of Patrinely Group, USAA Real Estate and CDC Houston, was represented by Nick Hernandez and Crystal Allen of Transwestern, along with Dennis Tarro of Patrinely Group. This is the second location for owners Thy and Christopher Nguyen, who debuted the niche concept in The Woodlands in 2016. It is slated to launch at CityPlace in later this year.

LUX NOA Nail Spa was represented by Greg Stackhouse of Stack Realty and will pamper clients in a 3,738-square-foot, street front space in 1401 Lake Plaza Drive. Nearing completion, the striking, two-story Gensler-designed structure is situated adjacent to Star Cinema Grill and will encompass 26,750 square feet of Class A office above 25,500 square feet of ground floor retail. This is also LUX NOA’s second Houston area address, following The Boardwalk at Towne Lake in Cypress. CityPlace was represented by Nick Hernandez and Crystal Allen of Transwestern, plus Dennis Tarro of Patrinely Group.
